Series of workshops with a group of people with handicap working with rhythm and notational practises.
By recording sounds in different environments and listening at them carefully when arriving at studio, we can revisit sonic memories; remember their source or try to disconnect from it and imagine new sonic elements. Working on their translation into draws and how to play them through singing or percussive rhythms, a new imaginary arises through this new language established.
(+PICTURES)
The aim of the workshops, taking into consideration the difficulties of expression (both verbal and body) of many of the participants, is to establish a new communicative language in which they can express themselves at ease without conditions or expectations.
Listening the environmental existing sounds in different spaces, the participants are invited to get into contact with the outside world and its sonic spectrum. Back into the workshop, they work notions of rhythm and intensity following the musical notation in graphic partitions created by them and share musical improvisation group sessions by means of percussion instruments.
